Calling All Moms!

You are cordially invited to join Mothers & Others at our annual membership brunch on Tuesday, September 16 at 9:30 am on the patio. Whether you’re new to the parish, or have been here a while, we’re anxious to welcome all new members! We’d also like to welcome back our current members for another year of fun and fellowship. Mothers & Others is a terrific way to meet other women of faith and form lasting bonds in your church community. Free baby-sitting will be provided at every monthly meeting. Hope to see you there!

May 20 - Tea & Testimony

Join us for "high tea" at our final meeting of the year on Tuesday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. (Hats are optional!) Our featured speaker will be Tim Forney and he'll be sharing his testimony with us. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Easter Egg Hunt

Mothers & Others is sponsoring a parish wide Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday March 15, 2008 at the church. The program for the day is:

10:00 a.m. Children's Easter Liturgy by Fr. Mark
10:15 a.m. Blessing of the Easter baskets
10:20 a.m. Easter Bonnet/Hat Procession (bring already decorated bonnet/hat)
10:30 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt (three age groups: 1-3, 4-6, 7-10)
11:00 a.m. Picnic Lunch (bring your own lunch and blankets/chairs and eat with new friends!)

Please bring one dozen plastic filled eggs per child.

The Easter egg symbolizes Jesus' resurrection: just as a little chick pecks its way out from the egg shell to emerge to new life, so Christ emerged from the tomb to new and everlasting life. The unbroken egg symbolizes the rock tomb of our Lord; and when broken, symbolizes that He has risen from the dead.

April Mothers & Others Meeting

Join us for our next Mothers & Others meeting on April 15, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. Our theme this month is "Make-Overs"...just in time for us to get ready for our big fundraiser on 4/19!! Please join us for fun, food and fellowship. As always, babysitting is provided.

A Champagne and Candle Light Celebration

Join us for our 10th anniversary fundraiser "A Champagne and Candle Light Celebration" featuring dinnner, dancing and auction items. The event will be held at South Coast Winery on Saturday April 19, 2008. Proceeds will benefit the St. Martha Family Life Center. Tickets are $75 for members and $80 for non-members. We hope to see you there.

March Mothers & Others Meeting

The next Mothers & Others meeting will be held on Tuesday March 11 at 9:30 am on the patio. Join us as we put on our spring Fashion Show. As always, refreshments and babysitting will be provided. Please bring a friend or two and enjoy the show!

WHAT IS MOTHERS & OTHERS?

Mothers & Others is a group of dynamic women who are dedicated to improving the lives of their families and their church community. We have monthly general meetings from September through May, typically on the third Tuesday of each month. (Please check the church bulletin for dates and times.) Childcare is provided at our general meetings. Each month, we host a wide range of speakers who cover a variety of subjects of interest to our membership. The meetings are a wonderful time to join in fellowship with women of faith. Additionally, Mothers & Others currently offers more than 15 clubs in which our members can participate including book club, play group, scrappers club, tennis club and date night just to name a few. Mothers & Others, through their various fundraising efforts over the past ten years, have contributed significantly to the St. Martha Building Fund. Please join us!
